How do you handle difficult students? I am a very patient teacher. Difficult students usually fall in line before my patients runs thin. For those that persist I begin with having a talk with them. If it still persists, I will choose an appropriate consequence like not letting them participate in an activity that they like. Most kids learn acceptable behavior where they are at and fall in line. If problems persist past several months, I will encourage parents that this is not for them.
